Pastor Bill Gurnett joined the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Chaplaincy Program in February 2006, undergoing 40 hours of intense training, and has had opportunity to minister to many people through critical incidents, family deaths, Every 15 Minute Programs in local High Schools, funerals, ride alongs with deputys and in many other areas. He has also been used in Critical Incident Stress Debriefings with local police agencies and fire agencies. He has had training through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation in "Pastoral Crisis Intervention" and "Assisting Individuals in Crisis." |
